Business Group on Health Podcast Earns National Honors, for 5th Consecutive Year

The Communicator Awards laud episodes on social prescribing, cannabis therapy, working with cancer, alcohol use

WASHINGTON, DC, June 2 — The Business Group on Health podcast once again earned recognition from the Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts’ (AIVA) The Communicator Awards, winning honors for episodes exploring social prescribing, cannabis therapy, working with cancer and alcohol use.

It is the fifth consecutive year the Business Group podcast has earned the top accolades.

“Each episode of our podcast sparks thoughtful conversations around the health and workforce challenges shaping today’s workplaces, and we are thrilled that four of our episodes were recognized,” said Ellen Kelsay, president and CEO of the Business Group on Health, and one of the podcast hosts. “We strive to feature diverse perspectives, practical insights and innovative ideas for employers to more effectively and efficiently support healthier, more resilient workforces.”

Award of Distinction (Category – Individual Episodes: Educational)

Working with Cancer: Helping Employers Support Employees Impacted by Cancer,” Gina Jacobson, program director, Publicis Groupe, in conversation with Ellen Kelsay, president and CEO, Business Group on Health, air date June 10, 2025.

Award of Distinction (Category – Individual Episodes: Health & Wellness)

Revisiting Alcohol Use: Risks, Trends and Recovery,” John Kelly, PhD, professor of Psychiatry in Addiction Medicine at Harvard Medical School and founder and director of the Recovery Research Institute at the Massachusetts General Hospital, and Rachel Sayko Adams, PhD, research associate professor, Boston University School of Public Health, in conversation with LuAnn Heinen, Business Group on Health, air date March 24, 2025.

The annual competition, now in its 32nd year and judged by AIVA, recognizes the best in marketing, communications and creative work. Thousands of entries from around the globe were submitted for this year’s awards.
